HEAD OF THE STUDY PROGRAM
Mirela Holy is a professor of ethnology and comparative literature, which she graduated at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She holds an MA in literary science and a PhD in literary science, cultural studies, all at the University of Zagreb.
At the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction she has worked at the department of Public Relations and Protocol, as the Associate and Head of the Cabinet of Ministers. At the PR Agency “Maksima communications” she has been working as a Project Manager, Account Manager and Executive Director and she also served as MP in the Croatian Parliament for two terms (VI and VII). At 2012 she served as the Minister of Environmental Protection and Nature.
So far she has published a number of papers in the field of environmental protection, human rights and communications.
She was a lecturer at London School of Public Relations, Libertas College and Centre for Croatian Studies, and since 2006 she lectures at VERN’s graduate study program Managing Business Communications, where she currently obtain a role of a Head of the Program.
