The Program for Travel Office Manager
Program is intended for communicative and creative persons who like dynamic jobs, travel and meeting the people from different cultures, and wish to have a career in tourism.
Why to take the exam for a Travel Office Manager:
- Because it is an interesting, dynamic and well-paid job
- Because, pursuant to the Act on the Provision of Tourism Services and the Ordinance on the Professional Exam for the Travel Office Manager, only a person who has passed the professional exam and has at least 2 years of work experience can run a travel office
Why to take the exam at VERN':
- Because it is an innovative, entrepreneurial and dynamic institution, which can build on the experiences of the Zagreb School of Management and offer specific knowledge and experience in educating employees in tourism,
- Because the lecturers at the Tourism Study Program are specialists and experts in specific areas of tourism,
- Because during the theoretical and practical part of the course, all formally and informally gathered knowledge is taken into account, from the specific topic for which the exam is taken.
Requirements:
Citizenship of the Republic of Croatia; domicile in the Republic of Croatia; at least high school level in educational attainment; active knowledge of at least one foreign language

The exam consists of the written and oral part of the exam, and evaluation of the seminar paper of the participant, and it is taken at the earliest 15 days after the end of lessons at the course. The participants will be given precise instructions for preparation of the exam before the lectures end, professional literature and key topics - questions that they must devote special attention to.
The participants are entitled to take the exam twice, and each next time they pay the exam fee in the amount of 400,00 kn.
Enrollment and Prices
Which formal requirements you need to fulfill:
- Croatian citizenship
- Legal capacity
- Educational attainment - at least high school level
The application must contain:
(what needs to be submitted at least one week before the beginning of lectures of general part of the seminar)
- payment certificate for the first installment
- evidence proving your educational degree of at least high school level (graduation certificate / university degree diploma)
- Certificate of Citizenship (domovnica)
- birth certificate
Price
The price is 3.190,00 Kuna per person and can be paid in 3 installments.
Entitlement to 10% discount:
- students and alumni from VERN' (VERN' University and Zagreb School of Management)),
- tourist boards of the cities, municipalities or counties,
- legal entities who have applied 2 or more persons,
- members of UHPA (Association of Croatian Travel Agencies).
Entitlement to 5 % discount:
- candidates who have formerly passed at ZSM one of the seminars within the lifelong learning education.

The seminar will be held twice a year, namely in February and November, provided sufficient number of candidates apply. In case of larger number of candidates, an additional term will be fixed. Before the seminar begins, the participants will be given schedule of classes with lecturers for each course. Special lecture notes have been prepared for all courses to help students master the content easily, which are handed to the participants at the beginning of the seminar. The seminar lasts for a week, in the afternoon hours on all business days and on Saturday morning. After the completed lectures, an exam before committee is taken.
Incomplete applications will not be taken into account. The applications will be taken at the latest one week before the commencement of the seminar.
